Crude iron is produced from iron ore mainly through a blast furnace. The blast furnace is a giant reactor which plays an important role in smelting and chemical reduction of iron oxide. Improvement of productivity and quality of generated molten iron in blast furnace process are significant technical themes in steel industry.
Sintered ore is the most excellent resource for blast furnace because it has advantageous metallurgical properties inside the reactor where many chemical reactions take place under more than 2000 degree Celsius. (Sintered ore is made of ferrous and calcium, which can be produced from fine iron ore and limestone through sintering machine. Sintered ore is widely used for blast furnace in the steel industry.)
